Lasang Secret Adventure

Lasang Secret Adventure.I have heard this place from different people and I’ve seen some pictures and I am sad. Why?, because I have been to Initao several times before but I never got to this place. And second, the pictures that I have seen are not enough. When I went there a few years back it’s not yet finished and all I can see is just a proposed poster and felt curious about it. So I decided to take time to go to the place, with a little gust thinking that other people from faraway places can go there and why not me that it’s just within my province and just minutes away from my town.
Lasang Secret Adventure is located in Initao, Misamis Oriental. It can easily be located because it is just beside the national highway. It was only named ‘secret’ because of the thick vegetation that cover it. It’s about 40-50 minutes ride from Cagayan de Oro or lesser if you are from Iligan City.

The huge sign and the building can be seen along the highway

A female attendant greeted me at the information counter who also became my tour guide and photographer as well. She then handed me a safety helmet.

There is a function hall and restaurant . The function hall is on my right and the restaurant is on my left
 .

As a start, there is the “Boardwalk” that the path will lead to the forest.

Taking a pose at one of the big trees with a sign “Tabi Apo”. By myth, that means it’s a respect to warn the ‘other beings’ living in the forest

 .

The boardwalk leads to the forest and ends in the red spiral steel stairs.

The red spiral stairs extends up to 100 meters high

The hanging canopy bridges as seen from the spiral stairs

crossing into the other decks through hanging bridges.

I am very happy when it comes to taking pictures here because my tour guide who is also my photographer is very good at taking pictures. She just hints me when to stop and pose and she is also good at taking angle in every shot.

And then we arrived at the final deck who also serves as the launch deck for the zipline.

The zipline crew checking and securing my harness for the safe take off

And I’m ready to go, the crew then gives his final instructions

I’m getting ready for the hint for the release and take off

The take off. Houston we have no problem, ha ha

I had a good landing. Crew members are waiting for me at the landing area and asked me if I enjoyed it, with no hesitation I nodded  “yes, of course”.

Since I still have more time for the day, I decided to go to the opposite side of the road where the seascape and landscape is located and that’s another story.

 getting there:

if you are riding a bus or jeepney drop by at the Initao highway

fare - - -  from cagayan de oro   ----   55-60 pesos or less if you are from Iligan
                                     registration fee  ---     250 pesos
